Princess Cruises is to name its next ship Discovery Princess.
She debuts on November 3, 2021 and will be a sister ship to Royal, Regal and Majestic Princess in the current fleet and also to Sky (joining later this month) and Enchanted Princess (due June 2020 and launching in Southampton).

Princess's incarnation will start life with a series of Mediterranean voyages, commencing in Rome.
The 3,660 passenger, 143,700 gross tonnage vessel will then reposition to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for a series of roundtrip cruises to the Caribbean then she's off to Argentina and Chile, as well as Mexico and the California coast from Los Angeles.
Princess president Jan Swartz said: "Discovery Princess will take our guests on the most memorable holidays of their lifetime, introducing them to new sights, new cultures and new experiences on every voyage.

She will be built at the Fincantieri shipyard near Trieste, Italy, and will feature OceanMedallion technology, where a wearable device the same size as a 10p allows passengers to get easier embarkation, touchless cabin entry, place orders for drinks and food and goods in the on-board shops, join in interactive games and locate family and friends on the ship.
Discovery will also be greener, powered by cleaner Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
