Saga, already well-versed in Ocean cruising, is employing 60-years worth of knowledge to develop a brand new luxury, river cruise offering aimed at the over-50s.

With a boost in river cruise popularity in recent years, Saga has stormed into the market.

The new Spirit of the Rhine Ship has been specially designed to navigate river-ways efficiently while echoing all of the amenities and style of a boutique hotel.

Each of the 17 sq metre cabins will boast French balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows, ensuring the perfect view of the surrounding scenery as it unfolds.

Onboard facilities include a lounge bar, library, sun deck, and jacuzzi.

Foodies can choose from two separate restaurants, one of which will treat guests to show cooking, while sunnier days can be enjoyed by the on-deck barbecue.
