Celebrity Millennium cruises to raise money for military

In addition to offering free cruises for first responders
and military personnel on the redeployed Celebrity Millennium, Celebrity Cruises
will operate revenue sailings and donate the proceeds to the military and first
responders.

The Millennium had been scheduled to sail Asia cruises until
May, but the sailings were nixed because of the coronavirus crisis. The ship departed
Singapore on Feb. 14, canceling scheduled stops in Japan.

Celebrity Cruises CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said on Wednesday
that the company worked with its deployment team, travel advisors and other
relevant authorities to rework the Asia itinerary.

Celebrity said once in California, the Millennium will sail
three four-day cruises and one five-day cruise for revenue that will be donated
to charity. As of now, it will also offer four two-night sailings to first
responders, active military, veterans and their families.

Lutoff-Perlo said the redeployment presents an opportunity
for Celebrity to “do some good with a situation that is not so good.”

The details of the new sailings are still being worked out.
