It’s no secret Disney excels at creating magical memories.
Which is why it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Disney Vacation Club exceeds all expectations.
There are numerous vacation timeshare programs in Orlando, but none come with the perks that Disney can bring to the table. Plus, few can honestly compare to the level of quality and service Disney delivers so well.
How does it work?
Purchase points at a Disney Vacation Club resort and use those points to book vacations at Disney Resorts as well as other destinations all over the world.
Member benefits include access to special events at Disney Parks, discount savings on dining and shopping as well as savings on select Disney Cruise Line sailings and various offerings from Adventures by Disney.
But the real stars of the DVC are the accommodations themselves.
Established in 1991, Disney Vacation Club currently has 14 main properties. They’re located in Florida, South Carolina, California and Hawaii:
– Disney’s Old Key West Resort
– Disney’s Vero Beach Resort
– Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort
– Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
– Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
– Disney’s Beach Club Villas

Resort No. 15, Disney’s Riviera Resort, is scheduled to debut in the fall of 2019.
All are uniquely designed and feature a variety of room styles to accommodate all types of travelers. Each resort features Deluxe Studios as well a one- and two-bedroom Villas. Some even feature three-bedroom Grand Villas.
So, bring the whole family because all rooms sleep four or more guests and the larger villas can sleep up to 12 guests, so all are welcome. That is, if you even want that many of your family members in one place.
Most actually do, as evident of the more than 225,000 member families in the DVC. After all, Disney World is a terrific destination for multigenerational travel.
The studios feature a kitchenette and the bigger villas include a full-sized kitchen as well as a washer and dryer.
Disney does all it can to truly make you feel at home, which is why you’re greeted with a joyous “Welcome Home!” message upon entering the lobby of your resort.
Disney’s Old Key West Resort was the one to launch it all back in 1991. You’ll feel like you’re partially in Key West, but with all the added bonuses of being so close to Walt Disney World’s best attractions.
In fact, feeling like you’re not at Disney is a theme among some of these breathtaking villas. Whether you want a cabin getaway with lush greenery, an overwater island like home, a private escape in your very own treehouse or seeing giraffes out your window, DVC accommodations all have that “wow” factor so many travelers covet.
Disney’s Riviera Resort, one of the most anticipated new resorts at Walt Disney World, will have a European theme to it inspired by Walt’s many trips to Europe. His love for art will shine brightly throughout the rooms, as more than 40 signature art pieces were created specifically for the resort.
Exquisite details abound in everything Disney does, and it really shows at these unique properties, like with the art, the aesthetics and interior design. And of course, those hidden Mickey’s are a thrill to find.
In addition to the staying at any of these 15 stunning resorts, DVC members can use points to visit destinations like China, Australia, France, Japan and South Africa just to name a few. Other Disney area hotels are also available for those attempting to stay at every single Disney Resort or for those who just want to try something outside the DVC property lineup.
It is currently undecided how DVC will play a role in the much-hyped Star Wars Hotel, as all Disney reps could tell TravelPulse at the time is to just “stay tuned.”
It’s a high-demand property already, but given how well Disney treats and listens to its DVC members, we wouldn’t be all that surprised to see Star Wars elements added to those member benefits in some capacity.
If Disney is truly your passion, consider meeting with the Disney Vacation Club team while at Walt Disney World next time. They’ll even give you three extra fast passes for your time.
