Travel Brands Offering Military Discounts for Memorial Day

To celebrate Memorial Day and Military Appreciation Month, several major travel companies are offering service members, veterans and their families discounts.

For the men and women of the military looking to take a trip Memorial Day weekend, a theme park vacation could be the best choice for the entire family.

For example, Walt Disney World has several discounts for military members, including four- and five-day promotional tickets for cheaper than regular prices through December.

All of the theme parks under the SeaWorld, Sesame Place and Busch Gardens brands are also offering free admission for military veterans and their families through July 15. Veterans are being asked to register with ID.me and show military ID at the front gate.

At the Legoland Florida Resort, service members will be offered free admission to the theme and water parks with no restrictions or blackout dates. Non-active duty, family members and veterans are also eligible for discounted tickets. As for the Legoland hotels, service members may also get a discount of up to 25 percent off room rates, subject to availability.

In addition, hotels and resorts such as DoubleTree by Hilton, La Quinta by Wyndham, Red Roof Inn, Super 8 by Wyndham, Vail Resorts, Westgate Resorts and more also offer discounts. Service members and veterans are advised to check the website of each travel brand they use to see if military discounts apply, as they are often offered year-round.
