The Secret Treasures of Saint Lucia, written by children’s author Sara Grant and published by the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) with Scholastic and Virgin Holidays, is an adventurous yarn for 7-11 year olds, featuring Jack, a lad on the trip of a lifetime with his parents. Amid the island’s lush beauties he encounters Nyla, a volunteer with its National Trust. When a mysterious treasure map appears, the duo embarking on a journey of discovery to reveal the true secret of Saint Lucia.

One of the Windward Islands of the West Indies’ Lesser Antilles, the island’s natural wonders include signature vistas like the emerald green cones of the Piton Mountains, tropical rainforest and one of the world’s few drive-in volcanoes.

“Saint Lucia is hugely popular with families making up around a third of our visitors from the UK each year,” says Patricia Charlery-Leon, SLTA’s UK director.

“With so much to do, it’s the perfect setting for a quest and we hope that this wonderful story inspires more families to come and have their own adventure.”
