This March, il Cielo rooftop Italian restaurant will celebrate its ninth anniversary with the launch of a seasonal produce series with a curated menu that will refresh every two months to showcase the finest seasonal ingredients flown in from Italy and Japan. Starting with the season of spring, resident Chef Yohhei Sasaki will present an exclusive menu that incorporates the season’s best produce to take diners on a sensorial journey through an artistry of Italian cuisine perfected with Chef Sasaki’s unmatched Japanese flair.

The Spring menu will welcome the warmer season by featuring in-season ingredients of Toyama-Japan firefly squid, Kyoto amadai fish, fresh spring Japanese cabbages, Italian white asparagus and premium Japanese Shorthorn Wagyu beef. The exclusive seasonal spring menu is only available in March and April ranging from four- to seven-course at $118 onwards.

Highlights of Seasonal Spring Creations

* Marinated Japanese baby squid with Puttanesca sauce, Japanese rape blossom ships, squid ink aioli sauce and lemon gel

* Kyoto Amadai tile fish, Italian tomato consommé soup, small spring onions, crispy pancetta, Italian parsley sauce and oven-baked Italian tomato

* Ravioli stuffed with Sakura ebi and Japanese spring cabbage, new ginger espuma with lobster bisque sauce

* Hokkaido sea urchin spaghetti, Sardinia bottarga and yuzu juice

Modern Space for an Urban Cityscape

Set on the rooftop level 24 of Hilton Singapore, il Cielo, also translated as “The Sky” restaurant can hold a capacity of up to 48 persons, with 32 indoor seats including a private dining room for 10 guests and 16 semi-al fresco seats by the pool. With a panoramic view of Orchard Road skyline, the interiors and surroundings of the poolside provide an urban romantic resort feel.

The restaurant is represented with contemporary geometrical trellis and sliding floor-to-ceiling glass panels which offer a sense of space, making way for a relaxing rooftop pool view. Within the restaurant interiors, the soft furnishings and wood floorings complements with the modern adornments and an iconic driftwood sculpture to accentuate space. At sundown, diners in the restaurant can experience a different alluring ambience as the versatile glass panels slide open for a semi-alfresco setting with the lighted pool area and modern cityscape of Orchard Road setting the stage for a captivating backdrop.
